BA Banking Game: Management of a Bank

Several groups constitute themselves as banks in the "Banking Game: Management of a Bank" seminar and compete with each other. Based on the strategies formulated at the beginning of the simulation, decisions are made on topics such as interest rate conditions, credit policy, training, advertising, etc. The seminar is supplemented by specialist presentations on individual topics, which are applied in the simulation. At the end of the block course, each group will produce a written paper.
Learning objectives
Participants will apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the lectures Banking and Finance, Banking, Corporate Finance and Asset Management. This allows you to link the knowledge gained from the lectures and seminars. During the game, the group must recognize which are the relevant management and decision-making areas of a bank and make decisions for the management of a bank under time pressure.
Participation requirements
Bachelor students (preferably majoring in Banking & Finance) who have passed the assessment level. Attendance of the course “Banking” (in the current semester or already completed) and participation in the obligatory preliminary discussion.
