BA Behavioral Corporate Governance, Ethics, and Compliance

Please note: This seminar will only be held in English

This seminar will provide students with an in-depth understanding of the evolving field of behavioral ethics and its increasing role in modern corporate governance, risk management and compliance practices, particularly relevant for heavily regulated industries like banking and more generally for supporting responsible and sustainable business behavior. Through a combination of academic literature review, case study evaluation, quantitative research method application, and participation in expert-led discussions, students will gain insights into the psychological and organizational factors influencing ethical behavior in companies.

Learning objectives

The seminar's subtopics encompass a range of issues related to behavioral ethics within corporate environments, such as ethical dilemmas, common and emerging approaches to corporate ethics along with their underlying presumptions, and empirical assessments of behavioral interventions. The proposed research designs will explore a spectrum of methodologies, from qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys to identify compliance issues, to A/B testing and randomized controlled trials to evaluate the efficacy of proposed solutions.
