Welcome Apéro for Master of Science UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance Students

As every year, new and current students of the Master of Science UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance (MScQF) Program were invited to a welcome apero at the beginning of the new semester. 

About 70 students met on 16 September 2026 in the ‘Dozentenfoyer’ at ETH Zurich and were able to interact with each other as well as with lecturers and professors. 

• The event started off with an opening speech from Prof. Walter Farkas, Professor of Quantitative Finance and Program Director of the Master of Science in Quantitative Finance.
• Followed by some welcome words from Antonello Cirulli (President of the Zurich Quantitative Finance Alumni, ZQFA ) with regard to the Alumni Club and by Sarah Wikus about the possibility of starting a PhD at the Department of Finance after completing the Master's degree. 

The people, the atmosphere, and the food and drinks all came together perfectly, and it was a great evening filled with lively conversations and networking opportunities among students, faculty, lectures and other guests. We wish all students a successful semester!
